On 1st Apr, 2022, we are celebrating 138th anniversary in shipping business! Beginning with Osaka Shosen Kaisha (O.S.K. Lines), which was established in 1884, we have grown amid a drastic increase in the demand for marine transportation following the Meiji Era. Among many ships we have operated, we would like to introduce "Kinai-maru" delivered in 1930, known as the "super express freighter" and the "Pacific Falcon". It was a high-speed cargo ship, which established a rapid transport service on the New York - Japan route, dramatically shortening the required number of shipping days and achieving great success. Sadly, it sank in the World War Ⅱ in 1943, while it was being operated as a special carrier for the war. 33 years after sinking, it was honored to put on a postage stamp an epoch-making cargo ship.
