MOL Launches Inter-system Linkage of 'Lighthouse' Digital Platform with Nippon Steel Corporation

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has announced the launch of a connection between its ‘Lighthouse’ platform and Nippon Steel Corporation's supply-demand management system. This allows Nippon Steel to access and update a wide range of ocean transport information, including schedules and cargo details, not only for MOL but also for other shipping lines.

MOL aims to leverage data and digital technology to help customers optimize their entire supply chain and improve their business models. Their goal is to reduce the environmental impact of ocean transport and achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by enhancing operational and transport efficiency based on customer needs.
